Kittery Trading Post Launches Ecommerce Web Site

Kittery, Maine – Early last week, Kittery Trading Post unveiled its newly redesigned ecommerce web site. The new secure site was designed to meet a growing demand by the outdoor sports specialty retailer’s customers to shop online for its products and services.
“We were constantly being asked when we were going to offer online shopping. Well, we launched our new online shopping site this past Wednesday morning and quickly received an email from a customer thanking us for finally making it possible for him to shop us online,” commented Kevin Adams, President/CEO of Kittery Trading Post. “He called it the eighth wonder of the world which gave us all a good laugh and made us feel good about what we are doing. It’s been a major undertaking to say the least, and we hope the web site’s new look and feel, in addition to the online shopping enhancements, offer our returning and new customers a convenient way to visit and shop with us.”
Site design and software were provided by Cambium Group, a New England web development company based in St. Johnsbury, VT. “We’ve been fortunate to work with a group of individuals who have responded quickly to our needs and questions. More importantly, they were able to take what we wanted to offer our customers–quality selection, service, security & convenience–and integrate this into our new web site,” noted Adams.
Kittery Trading Post expects its new site will also enable the company to better compete with other sporting goods retailers. “We’ve always felt our extensive product offering and personal customer service were second to none, now we can expand this to the web,” Adams concluded.
